Time goes fast. You hear it. We chuckle and grin about it. But, it does indeed fly by. It seems only a short time ago that I was expecting Aaron’s birth and soon he’ll be turning two. I don’t know if I’m the only parent that does this (I doubt it), but when they near a milestone I start trying to savor the time as if I could maybe save the memories deeper so that I remember more. Photography becomes an insurance policy of sorts for me. That I can return to the images of their childhood and for a moment remember the times that we so quickly forget. As I Mother I have felt his first kicks, held him immediately at his birth, celebrated sitting/crawling/walking/talking, hugged him when he is afraid or hurt, laughed with him when he makes funny faces …

God has blessed us greatly with our three children. I thank Him for each day with them. And just as Aaron looks out ahead of him in this image into the sunset, I look forward to a new year with him as he turns two next week. He’s an amazing toddler and I just know, he’ll be an amazing person as he grows.
